Holiday, Food and Activity programme to reach Wiltshire PP young people.

Learn by Design delivering partner for Wiltshire FUEL programme.


Wiltshire Council has been given Department of Education funding to deliver the Holiday Activity and Food programme to children eligible for benefits related to free school meals in Wiltshire. The programme is being delivered in Wiltshire using the brand FUEL and we, Learn by Design, are pleased to be the confirmed partner for delivering the camps across the 10 allocated regions.


As an experienced delivery partner for the NCS programme as well as Summer Camps across the UK Learn by Design are excited to have added this new collaboration to their repertoire of programme delivery.


Summer 2021 Offer

The summer FUEL offer, which is now open for registrations comprises of ten face-to-face holiday activity camps, delivered in areas of the county where there is the greatest need for the programme. Locations include:

  • Amesbury – Amesbury Archer Primary School

  • Calne – Kingsbury Green Academy

  • Chippenham – Hardenhuish School

  • Devizes – Devizes Leisure Centre

  • Melksham – Rivermead School

  • Royal Wotton Basset and Cricklade – Royal Wootton Bassett Secondary School

  • Salisbury – Sarum Academy

  • Trowbridge – Studley Green Primary School

  • Warminster – Kingdown School

  • Westbury – Matravers School


Camp Details


Each camp will run for four weeks during the summer holidays and will comprise of four, four-hour days (10am to 2pm), commencing on 2 August 2021. Eligible children will be able to attend free of charge and provision will include a nutritious meal and enriching activities on each day of the programme, as well as regular healthy eating and nutrition workshops. The programme will also be delivering two FUEL camps for children with a disability in Corsham and Salisbury, which we will promote to eligible families via Wiltshire’s Special Schools.
