“We have had such a good time this week, the children are having so much fun and our leaders are having a great time too!”
Sven:
“I thought the activities that the kids were involved in were really important – quite a lot around health and fitness, physical activities.”
David
“I haven’t seen anyone without a smile on their face today and in terms of impact on the local community, that’s got to be a positive…the children have come into this and had such a positive experience – massively impacting.”
Paul
“The impact of the programme on Wiltshire has been absolutely huge. So far the programme has engaged just over 4,000 young people and delivered 30,000 meals. These are children who we know during school holiday periods are really impacted by the school canteen closing down and really impacted by holiday hunger.”
“Really positive programme, the young people are benefiting from been able to access a nutritious meal for each day that they are with us but also some high quality, enriching activities.”
End of programme showdown.
The end of the programme culminated into a celebration performance and included a talent show in each region.
Camps have ran for four days from 20 December and were located at: Amesbury, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Melksham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Salisbury, Trowbridge, Warminster and Westbury.
